A bunch of guys migrated from Guntur to Vizag to treat the city with crispy and delicious dosas. The chutneys here make people come again and again. It’s not unusual to see a traffic jam on this road every mornings, as people come from near and far to eat breakfast here.

Although Bongu Chicken is not widely available in the city of Vizag, this is a popular dish in Araku, a hill station near Visakhapatnam which is famous for its thick forests and valleys.
Bongu Chicken is prepared by stuffing an empty bamboo stick with marinated chicken and burning it on coals for a smokey flavour. Enroute Araku, you can find many vendors on the roadside preparing this wild dish. Even though it is a bit expensive (Rs. 500-800 per kilo), Bongu Chicken is totally worth its price.

Punugulu Karam is a famous snack place in MVP Colony that sells this delicacy. Punugulu is a deep-fried snack made with urad dal and rice batter. These crispy orbs are served with peanut and coconut chutneys.
Make sure you reach there before 7pm, otherwise you will miss the party as the place gets very crowded and you may not get your plate full of scrumptious Punugulu.

Egg Bonda
Because of the unique blend of spices used by cart owners to prepare them, egg bonda is one of the most popular street foods in the city. Eggs are dipped in a batter made of gramme flour, red and green chilies, powdered pepper, and salt while they are still boiling.
Deep-fried, then served with a tangy chutney. Near Cafe Coffee Day in MVP Colony, Visakhapatnam, you can find the best egg bondas. Once you’ve tried them, you’ll want to try them again.

Muri Mixture
Muri mixture is a must-try if you want to spend a relaxing day on the city’s beaches. Puffed rice, peanuts, tomatoes, chilies, spices, and chopped onions make up the muri mixture, which is a delectable mix. There’s also some cilantro and a squeeze of lemon on top. It’s a simple bhel puri variation that can be found all over India.
Before returning home at the end of the day, it is a popular snack among all Visakhapatnam residents. On the entire stretch of Beach Road, you’ll find several vendors selling this delectable street food. Rushikonda, RK Beach, and Tenneti Park are among the best places to visit.

Sweet Corn
Most of the famous food of Vizag is available at beaches. This boiled sweet corn carts can be found all along the belt of Tenneti Park and RK beach.
There is nothing special with the corn or the taste of it here; but eating it while taking a walk in the seashore is totally worth it. You can also get roasted corn, cooked directly on burning coals.

Chepala Pulusu
No true sea food lover would have his list complete without our very own Chepala Pulusu. This traditional dish is prepared with a fresh catch of fish which is cooked in a tangy spiced tamarind sauce. Chepala Pulusu goes best with hot steamed rice along with sliced onions and once introduced to your taste buds, you can be guaranteed of an experience like no other.

Tomato Bajji
This one is another superstar on the beaches of Visakhapatnam. These gram flour (besan) coated tomatoes are deep fried and cut into half, like cups, with the tomato flesh scooped out.
These tomato cups are filled with a similar mix used in Muri Mixture and served with crunchy peanuts. Everyone in Vizag, rich and poor, savours Tomato Bajji. You can also taste other varieties with bread and brinjal.

Masala Batani
This is another cheap yet priceless snack you get at beach roads. Masala Batani is a mixture of boiled white peas, onions, tomato and lemon. This snack is served in a paper cone and instead of a spoon, you will have a strip of dry palm leaf.
These vendors, mostly old people, have been selling Masala Batani, with same quality and at around same price (Rs. 5-10) for the past decade or do. So, it’d be kind to pay them a bit more and see a happy face.
